Historic Ceremony & Reception Venue

The Manor House

The 15th century Manor House provides a unique historical setting for your party. Previous owners have included the Duke of Bolton, the Earl of Sandwich and the Marquis of Winchester. This beautiful manor house is an ideal venue for smaller, more intimate parties. It caters for a maximum of 50 guests.

The ground floor of the Manor House has a beautiful dining room and drawing room which provide a wonderful setting for all celebrations. The large entrance hall is ideal for pre-dinner drinks and after supper guests can retire for cognac in front of the fire in the drawing room.

During the warmer months the Court lawn, overlooking the moat, is a beautiful spot for champagne and canapés - the perfect place for pre-reception drinks following a wedding ceremony before proceeding to the Aelfric Hall for the main wedding reception.

A myriad of indoor and outdoor photo opportunities will ensure you leave with a host of beautiful images of your special celebration.

The two upper floors of the Manor House are arranged as accommodation. Please enquire for further information if you would like to make the most of all that Hooke Court has to offer by staying overnight.

Please note from April to October receptions in the Manor House are not available except for pre reception drinks when the Aelfric Hall is to be used as the main reception venue.
